Full Description

This bed occupancy mat detects the weight of the person lying in bed. When the person gets out of bed or leaves the chair the mat then raises an alarm.

This type of sensor is ideal for carers who wish to be alerted when the person they are caring for leaves the bed. The mat can be set to trigger an alarm immediately or after a set time has elapsed.

This mat should be used on top of the mattress or chair and requires connection to a Touch-iT No Effort Call Button Radio (sold separately). The unit can also be used with the Alert-It pager systems.

Devices like these remove the need for regular nocturnal checks on vulnerable people, which disturb them and can cause unnecessary behavioural issues, particularly with sufferers of epilepsy and dementia.
