This bed occupancy sensor is ideal for domestic beds, which are not often moved.
This type of sensor is ideal for carers who wish to be alerted when the occupant leaves the bed. The device is placed under one of the bed legs and detects the change in weight when the occupant leaves the bed, raising an alarm.
The device can be adjusted using an internal spring to set the weight for different users. A second bed weight sensor is required for king sized beds.
Please note that this may not be suitable for small children and very light-weight users.
The device requires connection to a Touch-iT No Effort Call Button Radio (sold separately).
Devices like these remove the need for regular nocturnal checks on vulnerable people, which disturb them and can cause unnecessary behavioural issues, particularly with sufferers of epilepsy and dementia.
