This discreet, wrist worn fall detector also has an integral alarm button so a separate pendant is not required. When a fall is detected there is a short period of time for the user to cancel the alarm. If the alarm is not cancelled an alarm is raised via the care phone to the monitoring centre, allowing help or assistance to be given.
The Fall Detector has 2 settings whereby the self cancellation period can be left on or turned off for a quicker response. If the self cancellation is left on, the Fall Detector will vibrate 26 times, if movement is detected in this period then the call will be cancelled. The Fall Detector is hypo-allergenic and waterproof.
The Fall Detector has a range of up to 100m line of sight range, depending on the building construction and a battery life of up to 2 years, dependant on usage. Low battery status is self monitored and automatically reported to the monitoring centre. The battery can be replaced by a competent person. This product is to be used with the Chubb Care Unity or Care Unit+ care phone, sold separately.
