The Pivotell Advance GSM pill dispenser will transmit text messages to up to three designated contacts (typically family members) and can send an email if medication has not been dispensed from the pill dispenser at the correct time, allowing appropriate action to be taken to check on the wellbeing of the individual.
The dispenser is programmed online using the Pivotell Administration Centre. The Administration Centre provides reports on the user's medication compliance, for example, it records the actual times when medication has been dispensed and when warning messages such as 'dose not taken' have been sent.
This automatic pill dispenser is highly effective in helping vulnerable adults remember to take their medication. The dispenser can hold up to 28 days supply of medication depending on how frequently medication is taken each day. It is easily programmed online via the Pivotell Administration Centre which is used to set all the functions including the time, number of doses per day and the alarm times, and to whom messages should be sent by text and email and in what circumstances.
Main features include a dose not taken warning, a self-locking shutter over the lid to prevent access to the medication tray, a device upside down warning and an LCD display. This LCD display feature is of particular benefit to family members or carers who can make a visual check on the status of the dispenser without having to open it.
